Merry Christmas y’all. I hope you are enjoying good company and a few stiff drinks. I have a confession about Christmas, I used to be that guy who started listening to Christmas music in October. I was never enamored with Halloween and everything about Christmas always caught me attention.
As kids we used to listen to all the traditional music but as I got older I gravitated to more to Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and other Rat Pack era guys for their rendition of Christmas music. I especially enjoyed listening to Leon Redbone and his smooth voice sing the classics. However, as I got older my favorite song of his became “Christmas Ball Blues.” I enjoyed this song mainly because it is about people getting tanked at their local Christmas party.
The more I have gone to company and friends Xmas parties over the year the more I enjoy listening to the song. While I have certainly had a few drinks at many of these parties I have never been the one to “lose my step” so to speak but it is always enjoyable seeing others do it. So I hope you aren’t the one who was that guy or gal at your Christmas party but if you were don’t worry there will be another party next year for some other fool to take the heat of you.
Anyway, I hope you have an enjoyable holiday season and here is the sports schedule to fit into all your drinking schedule…
